Sonnet 39 - Because Thou Hast The Power And Own'st The Grace Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A ABCAABBADEDFDE

XXXIXA
-
Because thou hast the power and own'st the graceA
To look through and behind this mask of meB
Against which years have beat thus blanchinglyC
With their rains and behold my soul's true faceA
The dim and weary witness of life's raceA
Because thou hast the faith and love to seeB
Through that same soul's distracting lethargyB
The patient angel waiting for a placeA
In the new Heavens because nor sin nor woeD
Nor God's infliction nor death's neighborhoodE
Nor all which others viewing turn to goD
Nor all which makes me tired of all self viewedF
Nothing repels thee Dearest teach me soD
To pour out gratitude as thou dost goodE
