-
With the same heart I said I'll answer theeB
As those when thou shalt call me by my name mdashC
Lo the vain promise is the same the sameD
Perplexed and ruffled by life's strategyB
When called before I told how hastilyB
I dropped my flowers or brake off from a gameD
To run and answer with the smile that cameD
At play last moment and went on with meB
Through my obedience When I answer nowE
I drop a grave thought break from solitudeF
Yet still my heart goes to thee mdash ponder how mdashC
Not as to a single good but all my goodG
Lay thy hand on it best one and allowE
That no child's foot could run fast as this bloodH
