-
Yet love mere love is beautiful indeedB
And worthy of acceptation Fire is brightC
Let temple burn or flax an equal lightC
Leaps in the flame from cedar plank or weedB
And love is fire And when I say at needB
I love thee mark I love thee in thy sightC
I stand transfigured glorified arightC
With conscience of the new rays that proceedC
Out of my face toward thine There's nothing lowD
In love when love the lowest meanest creaturesE
Who love God God accepts while loving soD
And what I feel across the inferior featuresE
Of what I am doth flash itself and showD
How that great work of Love enhances Nature'sE
