Valentine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ KLKL MNMN

Too high too high to pluckA
My heart shall swingB
A fruit no bee shall suckA
No wasp shall stingB
-
If on some night of coldC
It falls to groundD
In apple leaves of goldC
I'll wrap it roundD
-
And I shall seal it upE
With spice and saltF
In a carven silver cupE
In a deep vaultF
-
Before my eyes are blindG
And my lips muteH
I must eat core and rindG
Of that same fruitH
-
Before my heart is dustI
By the end of allJ
Eat it I must I mustI
Were it bitter gallJ
-
But I shall keep it sweetK
By some strange artL
Wild honey I shall eatK
When I eat my heartL
-
O honey cool and chasteM
As clover's breathN
Sweet Heaven I shall tasteM
Before my deathN
