Now Let No Charitable Hope Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG

Now let no charitable hopeA
Confuse my mind with imagesB
Of eagle and of antelopeA
I am by nature none of theseC
-
I was being human born aloneD
I am being woman hard besetE
I live by squeezing from a stoneD
What little nourishment I getE
-
In masks outrageous and austereF
The years go by in single fileG
But none has merited my fearF
And none has quite escaped my smileG
