A Proud Lady Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGFG HIHI JKJK LMLM NONO

Hate in the world's handA
Can carve and set its sealB
Like the strong blast of sandA
Which cuts into steelB
-
I have seen how the finger of hateC
Can mar and mouldD
Faces burned passionateE
And frozen coldD
-
Sorrowful faces wornF
As stone with rainG
Faces writhing with scornF
And sullen with painG
-
But you have a proud faceH
Which the world cannot harmI
You have turned the pain to a graceH
And the scorn to a charmI
-
You have taken the arrows and slingsJ
Which prick and bruiseK
And fashioned them into wingsJ
For the heels of your shoesK
-
From the world's hand which triesL
To tear you apartM
You have stolen the falcon's eyesL
And the lion's heartM
-
What has it done this worldN
With hard finger tipsO
But sweetly chiseled and curledN
Your inscrutable lipsO
