Forbearance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF AGHIJDKL AMANOP QRSDATU AMAVVWXX

How long would man forbearA
The oppression of the wickedB
The incessant lack and wantC
Which casts clouds over days of one's lifeD
The longing and waiting for loveE
That forever may never be wonF
-
How long may we forbearA
The feelings of pain from cradle to graveG
Pandemics of man made and nature inflictsH
Today we fold our arms in prayersI
To heavens having hopes for heaves of relief and answers to questions long surround our fateJ
What more is there to lifeD
If we lived in isolation dragging our feet on penury path today andK
Face sudden demise at the break of dawnL
-
How long would man forbearA
The scorching of the sun at the breakingM
of backs from weight of labourA
The breaking of heart by infidelity and promiscuity of the ones we lovedN
The unending betrayals lies and indifference from the tables of our elitesO
The inequality that keeps the world apartP
-
What is delightful in a world of conflictQ
A world torn apart by vices and crisisR
Yesterday man up against his fellowS
Today a husband at throat with his wifeD
While the children watch livid with fearA
Tomorrow an infectious society standsT
poised on the shoulders of these poorly young breeds to repeat the circle again and againU
-
What more may we not FORBEARA
The incessant deaths of our prime loved ones as greed and religion clashes unendingM
What more may we not FORBEARA
A failed solemnityV
The hardship that stares in the face of the minorityV
An unending tale tale stories of leaders sick at heart and tongueW
Or a foe in disguise of a friendX
What more lay in wait to forbear at the dawn of CovidX
