The Joy If Church Fellowship Rightly Attended Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIHEF JKJBEF LMLMEF NONMEF

In heaven soaring up I dropped an earA
On earth and Oh sweet melodyB
And listening found it was the saints who wereC
Encroached for Heaven that sang for joyD
For in Christ's coach they sweetly singE
As they to glory ride thereinF
-
Oh joyous hearts Enfired with holy flameG
Is speech thus tassled with praiseH
Will not your inward fire of joy containI
That it in open flames doth blazeH
For in Christ's coach saints sweetly singE
As they to glory ride thereinF
-
And if a string do slip by chance they soonJ
Do screw it up again wherebyK
They set it in a more melodious tuneJ
And a diviner harmonyB
For in Christ's coach they sweetly singE
As they to glory ride thereinF
-
In all their acts public and private nayL
And secret too they praise impartM
But in their acts divine and worship theyL
With hymns do offer up their heartM
Thus in Christ's coach they sweetly singE
As they to glory ride thereinF
-
Some few not in and some whose time and placeN
Block up this coach's way do goO
As travelers afoot and so do traceN
The road that gives them right theretoM
While in this coach these sweetly singE
As they to glory ride thereinF
