The Violin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACDAEFEFGG

Thrice hail the still unconquered King of SongA
For all adore and love the Master ArtB
That reareth his throne in temple of the heartB
And smiteth chords of passion full and strongA
Till music sweet allures the sorrowing throngA
Then by the gentle curving of his bowC
Maketh every mellow note in cadence flowD
To recompense the world of all its wrongA
Although the earth is full of cares and throesE
That tempt the crimson stream of life to cloyF
Thou mak'st glad hearts and trip'st fantastic toesE
And fillest weary souls with mirth and joyF
The soul entrancing cadence of thy stringsG
Proclaims thee Song's unconquered King of kingsG
