The Mayor's Ring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB BCBC DEDE DBFB

I hold a token in my handA
A very tiny thingB
And yet within its golden bandA
A thousand memories clingB
-
Aye thrice ten thousand memories clingB
Of signal victories wonC
Enshrined within this little ringB
Reward of duty doneC
-
I ever shall this token prizeD
And wear it with true graceE
The tie that binds the kindred tiesD
Of friendship race to raceE
-
And when I soar full through the skiesD
Yet ever will I clingB
Within the gates of ParadiseF
This sacred little ringB
