Cold Are The Crabs Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEEDFG

Cold are the crabs that crawl on yonder hillsA
Colder the cucumbers that grow beneathB
And colder still the brazen chops that wreatheB
The tedious gloom of philosophic pillsA
For when the tardy film of nectar fillsA
The simple bowls of demons and of menC
There lurks the feeble mouse the homely henC
And there the porcupine with all her quillsA
Yet much remains to weave a solemn strainD
That lingering sadly slowly dies awayE
Daily departing with departing dayE
A pea green gamut on a distant plainD
When wily walrusses in congresses meetF
Such such is lifeG
