listening to the clear summons of the dead | L |
transparent as glass clairvoyant as crystal | A |
Some nights it is almost ready to join them | M |

Oh this is a strange unlikely tethering | I |
a furious grafting of the quick and the slow | E |
when the soul flies up the body sinks down | G |
and all night locked in the same cramped room | N |

with the sound of a low internal burning | I |
