| an underhand pass toward the other guard | H |
| scissoring past a flat footed defender | A |

| who looks stunned and nailed to the floor | I |
| in the wrong direction trying to catch sight | J |

| of a high gliding dribble and a man | K |
| letting the play develop in front of him | L |

| in slow motion almost exactly | M |
| like a coach's drawing on the blackboard | N |

| both forwards racing down the court | O |
| the way that forwards should fanning out | P |

| and filling the lanes in tandem moving | G |
| together as brothers passing the ball | Q |

| between them without a dribble without | P |
| a single bounce hitting the hardwood | R |

| until the guard finally lunges out | P |
| and commits to the wrong man | K |

| while the power forward explodes past them | S |
| in a fury taking the ball into the air | T |

| by himself now and laying it gently | M |
| against the glass for a lay up | U |

| but losing his balance in the process | V |
| inexplicably falling hitting the floor | I |

| with a wild headlong motion | E |
| for the game he loved like a country | M |

| and swiveling back to see an orange blur | A |
| floating perfectly though the net | W |
