Down to it is Plugger BillA
Lyin' crumpled white 'n' stillA
Me 'n' himB
Chips in when the scrap beginsC
Carin' nothin' for our skinsC
Chi iked as the 'Eavenly TwinsC
Bill 'n' JimB
-
They 'ave outed Bill at lastD
Slugged me cobber hard 'n' fastD
It's a killA
See the purple of his lipE
'N' the red 'n' oozy dripE
Ends our great ole partnershipE
Jim 'n' BillA
-
Mates we was when we was kidsF
Camp 'n' ship 'n' PyramidsF
Him 'n' meG
Hung together 'n' we toreH
Up the heights from Helles shoreH
Bill a long 'arf head aforeH
Fine to seeG
-
Then it was we took a touchI
Simple puncture nothin' muchI
But we layJ
'N' we stays the count it seemsK
In a sorter realm of dreamsK
Where the sun infernal gleamsK
Night 'n' dayJ
-
Boilin' fryin' achin' dumbL
Waitin' till the stretchers comeL
PatientlyG
I hangs on to 'arf a cupM
Which I wants ole Bill to supM
Damn if he ain't savin' upM
His for meG
-
When they come to lift my headN
I am softly kiddin' deadN
For a gameO
So's they'll first take on his gillsP
Over though me scheme he spillsP
Bli'me this ole take down Bill'sP
Done the sameO
-
But he isn't kiddin' nowQ
And it knocks me anyhowQ
Seein' himB
We was both agreed beforeH
Though it got 'em by the scoreH
Two was goin' to beat this warH
But 'n' JimB
-
Mate o' mine yiv stayed it throughH
Hard luck Bill for me 'n' youH
Hard 'n' grimB
They have got me Cobber trueH
But I'm stickin' tight ez glueH
Bill there's one who'll plug for twoH
It is JimB
