The Penitent Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDDDB EFCFGGGF HI JI DDDI

I had a little SorrowA
Born of a little SinB
I found a room all damp with gloomC
And shut us all withinB
And Little Sorrow weep said ID
And Little Sin pray God to dieD
And I upon the floor will lieD
And think how bad I've beenB
-
Alas for pious planningE
It mattered not a whitF
As far as gloom went in that roomC
The lamp might have been litF
My little Sorrow would not weepG
My little Sin would go to sleepG
To save my soul I could not keepG
My graceless mind on itF
-
So up I got in angerH
And took a book I hadI
-
And put a ribbon on my hairJ
To please a passing ladI
-
And One thing there's no getting byD
I've been a wicked girl said ID
But if I can't be sorry whyD
I might as well be gladI
