The Little Hill Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD BEFE GHGI BDBD

Oh here the air is sweet and stillA
And soft's the grass to lie onB
And far away's the little hillA
They took for Christ to die onB
-
And there's a hill across the brookC
And down the brook's anotherD
But oh the little hill they tookC
I think I am its motherD
-
The moon that saw GethsemaneB
I watch it rise and setE
It has so many things to seeF
They help it to forgetE
-
But little hills that sit at homeG
So many hundred yearsH
Remember Greece remember RomeG
Remember Mary's tearsI
-
And far away in PalestineB
Sadder than any otherD
Grieves still the hill that I call mineB
I think I am its motherD
