The Little Ghost Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDF GHGH IJIJ KLKL MJMJ NONO

I knew her for a little ghostA
That in my garden walkedB
The wall is high higher than mostA
And the green gate was lockedC
-
And yet I did not think of thatD
Till after she was goneE
I knew her by the broad white hatD
All ruffled she had onF
-
By the dear ruffles round her feetG
By her small hands that hungH
In their lace mitts austere and sweetG
Her gown's white folds amongH
-
I watched to see if she would stayI
What she would do and ohJ
She looked as if she liked the wayI
I let my garden growJ
-
She bent above my favourite mintK
With conscious garden graceL
She smiled and smiled there was no hintK
Of sadness in her faceL
-
She held her gown on either sideM
To let her slippers showJ
And up the walk she went with prideM
The way great ladies goJ
-
And where the wall is built in newN
And is of ivy bareO
She paused then opened and passed throughN
A gate that once was thereO
