Once More Into My Arid Days Like Dew Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

Once more into my arid days like dewA
Like wind from an oasis or the soundB
Of cold sweet water bubbling undergroundB
A treacherous messenger the thought of youA
Comes to destroy me once more I renewA
Firm faith in your abundance whom I foundB
Long since to be but just one other moundB
Of sand whereon no green thing ever grewA
And once again and wiser in no wiseC
I chase your colored phantom on the airD
And sob and curse and fall and weep and riseC
And stumble pitifully on to whereD
Miserable and lost with stinging eyesC
Once more I clasp and there is nothing thereD
