Lines Written In Recapitulation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABC DEFGHEIJK LMLNK

I could not bring this splendid world nor any trading beastA
In charge of it to defer no not to give ear not in the leastA
Appearance to my handsome propheciesB
which here I ponder and put byC
-
I am left simpler less encumbered by the consciousnessD
that I shall by no pebble in my dirty slingE
avail To slay one purple giant four feet high and distribute armsF
among his tall attendants who spit at his nameG
when spitting on the groundH
They will be found one day Prone where they fell or dead sittingE
mdash and pock marked wallI
Supporting the beautiful back straight as an oakJ
before it is oldK
-
I have learned to fail And I have had my sayL
Yet shall I sing until my voice crackM
this being my leisure this my holidayL
That man was a special thing and no commodityN
a thing improper to be soldK
