I Know The Face Of Falsehood And Her Tongue Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

I know the face of Falsehood and her TongueA
Honeyed with unction Plausible with guileB
Are dear to men whom count me not amongA
That owe their daily credit to her smileB
Such have been succoured out of great distressC
By her contriving if accounts be trueD
Their deference now above the board I guessC
Dishcharges what beneath the board is dueD
As for myself I'd liefer lack her aidE
Than eat her presence let this building fallF
But let me never lift my latch afraidE
To hear her simpering accents in the hallF
Nor force an entrance past mephitic airsG
Of stale patchoulie hanging on my stairsG
