Blight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDB EFGFCF HICIJI AKHKDK ELFLML

Hard seeds of hate I plantedA
That should by now be grownB
Rough stalks and from thick stamensC
A poisonous pollen blownB
And odors rank unbreathableD
From dark corollas thrownB
-
At dawn from my damp gardenE
I shook the chilly dewF
The thin boughs locked behind meG
That sprang to let me throughF
The blossoms slept I sought a placeC
Where nothing lovely grewF
-
And there when day was breakingH
I knelt and looked aroundI
The light was near the silenceC
Was palpitant with soundI
I drew my hate from out my breastJ
And thrust it in the groundI
-
Oh ye so fiercely tendedA
Ye little seeds of hateK
I bent above your growingH
Early and noon and lateK
Yet are ye drooped and pitifulD
I cannot rear ye straightK
-
The sun seeks out my gardenE
No nook is left in shadeL
No mist nor mold nor mildewF
Endures on any bladeL
Sweet rain slants under every boughM
Ye falter and ye fadeL
