The Faerie Qveene Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Me thought I saw the grave where she layA
Within that Temple where the vestal flameB
Was won't to burne and passing by that wayA
To see that buried dust of living fameB
Whose tomb faire love and fairer vertue keptC
All suddenly I saw the Faerie QveeneD
At whose approach the soul of Petrarke weptC
And from thenceforth those graces were not seenD
For they this Qveene attended in whose steedE
Obliuion laid him down on her herseF
Here at the hardest stones were seen to bleedE
And groans of buried ghosts the heruens did perseF
Where he spright did tremble all for griefG
And curst th'accesse of that celestial thiefG
