Sonnet Xxviii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBABAACAADD

THe laurell leafe which you this day doe weareA
guies me great hope of your relenting myndB
for since it is the badg which I doe beareA
ye bearing it doe seeme to me inclindB
The powre thereof which ofte in me I findB
let it lykewise your gentle brest inspireA
with sweet infusion and put you in mindB
of that proud mayd whom now those leaues attyreA
Proud Daphne scorning Phaebus louely fyreA
on the Thessalian shore from him did flieC
for which the gods in theyr reuengefull yreA
did her transforme into a laurell treeA
Then fly no more fayre loue from Phebus chaceD
but in your brest his leafe and loue embraceD
