Sonnet Xxv Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AAABCDEEEFEFEEHOw long shall this lyke dying lyfe endure | A |
And know no end of her owne mysery | A |
but wast and weare away in termes vnsure | A |
twixt feare and hope depending doubtfully | B |
Yet better were attonce to let me die | C |
and shew the last ensample of your pride | D |
then to torment me thus with cruelty | E |
to proue your powre which I too wel haue tride | E |
But yet if in your hardned brest ye hide | E |
a close intent at last to shew me grace | F |
then all the woes and wrecks which I abide | E |
as meanes of blisse I gladly wil embrace | F |
And wish that more and greater they might be | E |
that greater meede at last may turne to mee | E |
