Sonnet Xlv Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABACCDCEFGHGFFLEaue lady in your glasse of christall clene | A |
Your goodly selfe for euermore to vew | B |
and in my selfe my inward selfe I meane | A |
most liuely lyke behold your semblant trew | C |
Within my hart though hardly it can shew | C |
thing so diuine to vew of earthly eye | D |
the fayre Idea of your celestiall hew | C |
and euery part remaines immortally | E |
And were it not that through your cruelty | F |
with sorrow dimmed and deformd it were | G |
the goodly ymage of your visnomy | H |
clearer then christall would therein appere | G |
But if your selfe in me ye playne will see | F |
remoue the cause by which your fayre beames darkned be | F |
