the which my selfe against my selfe doe make | C |
whilest my weak powres of passions warreid arre | B |
no skill can stint nor reason can aslake | C |
But when in hand my tunelesse harp I take | C |
then doe I more augment my foes despight | D |
and griefe renew and passions doe awake | C |
to battaile fresh against my selfe to fight | D |
Mongst whome the more I seeke to settle peace | A |
