Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBDEFBFGGI Ioy to see how in your drawen work | A |
Your selfe vnto the Bee ye doe compare | B |
and me vnto the Spyder that doth lurke | A |
in close awayt to catch her vnaware | B |
Right so to your selfe were caught in cunning snare | B |
of a deare foe and thralled to his loue | C |
in whose streight bands ye now captiued are | B |
so firmely that ye neuer may remoue | D |
But as your worke is wouen all about | E |
with woodbynd flowers and fragrant Eglantine | F |
so sweet your prison you in time shall proue | B |
with many deare delights bedecked fyne | F |
And all thensforth eternall peace shall see | G |
betweene the Spyder and the gentle Bee | G |
