| So since the winged God his planet cleare | B |
| began in me to moue one yeare is spent | A |
| the which doth longer vnto me appeare | B |
| then al those fourty which my life outwent | A |
| Then by that count which louers books inuent | A |
| the spheare of Cupid fourty yeares containes | C |
| which I haue wasted in long languishment | A |
| that seemd the longer for my greater paines | C |
| But let me loues fayre Planet short her wayes | C |
| this yeare ensuing or else short my dayes | C |
