Sonnet Iv* Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEDEEFEFGG

The antique Babel empresse of the EastA
Upreard her buildinges to the threatned skieB
And second Babell tyrant of the WestC
Her ayry towers upraised much more highD
But with the weight of their own surquedryE
They both are fallen that all the earth did feareE
And buried now in their own ashes lyD
Yet shewing by their heapes how great they wereE
But in their place doth now a third appeareE
Fayre Venice flower of the last worlds delightF
And next to them in beauty draweth neareE
But farre exceedes in policie of rightF
Yet not so fayre her buildinges to beholdG
As Lewkenors stile that hath her beautie toldG
