Poem 22 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDCDEEAFEAEEGG

ANd thou great Iuno which with awful mightA
the lawes of wedlock still dost patronizeB
And the religion of the faith first plightA
With sacred rites hast taught to solemnizeB
and eeke for comfort often called artC
Of women in their smartC
Eternally bind thou this louely bandD
And all thy blessings vnto vs impartC
And thou glad Genius in whose gentle handD
The bridale bowre and geniall bed remaineE
Without blemish or staineE
And the sweet pleasures of theyr loues delightA
With secret ayde doest succour and supplyF
Till they bring forth the fruitfull progenyE
Send vs the timely fruit of this same nightA
And thou fayre Hebe and thou Hymen freeE
Grant that it may so beE
Til which we cease your further prayse to singG
Ne any woods shal answer nor your Eccho ringG
