Poem 18 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDDEDEFGDDBDCAHH

NOw welcome night thou night so long expectedA
that long daies labour doest at last defrayB
And all my cares which cruell loue collectedA
Hast sumd in one and cancelled for ayeC
Spread thy broad wing ouer my loue and meD
that no man may vs seeD
And in thy sable mantle vs enwrapE
From feare of perrill and foule horror freeD
Let no false treason seeke vs to entrapE
Nor any dread disquiet once annoyF
the safety of our ioyG
But let the night be calme and quietsomeD
Without tempestuous storms or sad afrayD
Lyke as when Ioue with fayre Alcmena layB
When he begot the great Tirynthian groomeD
Or lyke as when he with thy selfe did lieC
And begot MaiestyA
And let the mayds and yongmen cease to singH
Ne let the woods them answer nor theyr eccho ringH
