Poem 13 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAACCDCEFFGDFDDDHH

Behold whiles she before the altar standsA
Hearing the holy priest that to her speakesB
And blesseth her with his two happy handsA
How the red roses flush vp in her cheekesA
And the pure snow with goodly vermill stayneC
Like crimsin dyde in grayneC
That euen th'Angels which continuallyD
About the sacred Altare doe remaineC
Forget their seruice and about her flyE
Ofte peeping in her face that seemes more fayreF
The more they on it stareF
But her sad eyes still fastened on the groundG
Are gouerned with goodly modestyD
That suffers not one looke to glaunce awryF
Which may let in a little thought vnsowndD
Why blush ye loue to giue to me your handD
The pledge of all our bandD
Sing ye sweet Angels Alleluya singH
That all the woods may answere and your eccho ringH
