Poem 10 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCCCCBBBBDDEE

TEll me ye merchants daughters did ye seeA
So fayre a creature in your towne beforeB
So sweet so louely and so mild as sheA
Adornd with beautyes grace and vertues storeB
Her goodly eyes lyke Saphyres shining brightC
Her forehead yuory whiteC
Her cheekes lyke apples which the sun hath ruddedC
Her lips lyke cherryes charming men to byteC
Her brest like to a bowle of creame vncruddedC
Her paps lyke lyllies buddedC
Her snowie necke lyke to a marble towreB
And allher body like a pallace fayreB
Ascending vppe with many a stately stayreB
To honors seat and chastities sweet bowreB
Why stand ye still ye virgins in amazeD
Vpon her so to gazeD
Whiles ye forget your former lay to singE
To which the woods did answer and your eccho ringE
