Amoretti Xxii: This Holy Season Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCDEEFGHII

This holy season fit to fast and prayA
Men to devotion ought to be inclin'dB
Therefore I likewise on so holy dayA
For my sweet saint some service fit will findB
Her temple fair is built within my mindB
In which her glorious image placed isC
On which my thoughts do day and night attendD
Like sacred priests that never think amissE
There I to her as th' author of my blissE
Will build an altar to appease her ireF
And on the same my heart will sacrificeG
Burning in flames of pure and chaste desireH
The which vouchsafe O goddess to acceptI
Amongst thy dearest relics to be keptI
