Amoretti Lxxv: One Day I Wrote Her Name Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDBDDEDEFF

One day I wrote her name upon the strandA
But came the waves and washed it awayB
Again I wrote it with a second handA
But came the tide and made my pains his preyB
Vain man said she that dost in vain assayC
A mortal thing so to immortalizeD
For I myself shall like to this decayB
And eke my name be wiped out likewiseD
Not so quod I let baser things deviseD
To die in dust but you shall live by fameE
My verse your vertues rare shall eternizeD
And in the heavens write your glorious nameE
Where whenas death shall all the world subdueF
Our love shall live and later life renewF
