Amoretti Lxviii: Most Glorious Lord Of Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBDEFCGHH

Most glorious Lord of life that on this dayA
Didst make thy triumph over death and sinB
And having harrow'd hell didst bring awayA
Captivity thence captive us to winB
This joyous day dear Lord with joy beginB
And grant that we for whom thou diddest dieC
Being with thy dear blood clean wash'd from sinB
May live for ever in felicityD
And that thy love we weighing worthilyE
May likewise love thee for the same againF
And for thy sake that all like dear didst buyC
With love may one another entertainG
So let us love dear love like as we oughtH
Love is the lesson which the Lord us taughtH
