My Leka Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB AB AB AB AB AB AB AB AB AB AB AB CDDDDD E

In your womb whence I cameA
to me was the best and peaceful placeB
-
I became born and you gave me a nameA
since then you became my strength and braceB
-
as a youth you ignored fameA
and your responsibilities you embraceB
-
things were hard never a gameA
but you got set and picked up the raceB
-
till I grew things didn't change but sameA
and there were more things you had to faceB
-
you covered me like the hameA
and endured the baceB
-
you suffered hardship and shameA
you never gave up but increased your paceB
-
it got to a point you became lameA
and the solution you can't traceB
-
but you endured and never rameA
our dreams you still chaseB
-
neither me or my dad did you blameA
you cried and prayed for graceB
-
what kept you company all day was grameA
you have nothing to wear but a laceB
-
there was no actual brameA
but you believe you will one day dwell in the palaceB
-
But hey LekaC
I see all your sorrowD
I know sometime for us to feed you had to borrowD
I know how our paths has been so narrowD
I know you've helped me escape bullet and arrowD
and I see that you believe in tomorrowD
-
don't cry mum I'll make you proudE

Poet's note: This is the struggle most of our mothers go through just to keep things together. I promised to make mine never remember all those years again.
