The Way Of Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF AAAA

THE butterfly loves the roseA
He flutters around her bedB
Till the soft curled leaves uncloseA
And she raises her darling headB
-
He whispers of dawn and of dewC
Of love and the heart of loveD
Of worship timid and trueC
And she takes no joy thereofD
-
But when through the noon's blind heatE
The arrogant bee flaunts byF
She yields him her heart's hid sweetE
And he leaves her alone to dieF
-
The depth of her dying blissA
Her grief white butterfly knowsA
And the bee laughs low in the kissA
Of another a redder roseA
