The Tree Of Knowledge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

I PLUCKED the blossoms of delightA
In many a wood and many a fieldB
I made a garland fair and brightA
As any gardens yieldB
-
But when I sought the living treeC
To make new earth and Heaven newD
I found alas for you and meC
Its roots were set in youD
-
Oh dear my garden where the fruitE
Of lovely knowledge sweetly springsF
How jealously you guard the rootE
Of all enlightening thingsF
