The Guardian Angel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EFGG

WHEN my good nights and prayers are saidA
And I am safe tucked up in bedA
I know my guardian angel standsB
And holds my soul between his handsB
-
-
I cannot see his wings of lightC
Because I keep my eyes shut tightC
For if I open them I knowD
My pretty angel has to goD
-
-
But through the darkness I can hearE
His white wings rustling very nearF
I know it is his darling wingsG
Not Mother folding up my thingsG
