The Forest Pool Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEDD FGFGHH

LEAN down and see your little faceA
Reflected in the forest poolB
Tall foxgloves grow about the placeA
Forget me nots grow green and coolB
Look deep and see the naiad riseC
To meet the sunshine of your eyesC
-
-
Lean down and see how you are fairD
How gold your hair your mouth how redE
See the leaves dance about your hairD
The wind has left unfilletedE
What naiad of them can compareD
With you for good and dear and fairD
-
-
Ah look no more the water stirsF
The naiad weeps your face to seeG
Your beauty is more rare than hersF
And you are more beloved than sheG
Fly fly before she steals the charmsH
The pool has trusted to her armsH
