The December Rose Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB AAAA CDCD

Here's a rose that blows for ChloeA
Fair as ever a rose in June wasB
Now the garden's silent snowyA
Where the burning summer noon wasB
-
In your garden's summer gloryA
One poor corner shelved and shadyA
Told no rosy radiant storyA
Grew no rose to grace its ladyA
-
What shuts sun out shuts out snow tooC
From his nook your secret loverD
Shows what slighted roses grow toC
When the rose you chose is overD
