The Claim Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIHI JKCK LMLM

OH I admit I'm dull and poorA
And plain and gloomy as you tell meB
And dozens flock around your doorC
Who in all points but one excel meB
-
You smile on them on me you frownD
They worship for the wage you payE
I lay life love and honour downD
For you to walk on every dayE
-
I am the only one who seesF
That though such gifts can never move youG
A meagre price are gifts like theseF
For life's high privilege to love youG
-
I am the one among your trainH
Who sees that loving you is worthI
A thousand times the certain gainH
Of all the heaped up joys of earthI
-
And you who know as well as IJ
What your glass tells you every morningK
A kindred soul you should descryC
Dilute with sympathy your scorningK
-
At least you should approve the intenseL
Love that gives all for you to wasteM
Your other lovers have more senseL
Admit that I have better tasteM
