Quieta Ne Movete Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEFF GHGHIIJJ KLKLJJMN OPOPQQRR

IF one should wake one's frozen faithA
In sunlight of her radiant eyesB
Bid it forget its dream of deathC
In this new dream of ParadiseD
Bid it forget the long slow painE
The agony when all in vainE
It fought for life and how one sworeF
Once cold it should not waken moreF
-
-
If hope one buried long agoG
Should thrill beneath those smiles of hersH
Should in one's sere life stir and growG
As in brown woods the young spring stirsH
If breaking icy bonds of griefI
One's soul should start to bud and leafI
It might forget in that springtideJ
How last year's leaves fell off and diedJ
-
If from warm faith and hope set highK
A lovely living child was bornL
With lips more pure than starlit skyK
And eyes as clear as summer mornL
Child love might grow till one forgotJ
Old love that was and now is notJ
Forgot that far off time of tearsM
And all these desolated yearsN
-
-
And yet of faith hope love one knowsO
So well what end the years will makeP
If one should dig beneath Time's snowsO
And wake them now for her sweet sakeP
New life may mean new joy but thenQ
What lives again may die againQ
And to that second death there mayR
Be no new resurrection dayR
