Over And Undone Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CCDDEC

IF one might hope that when we say farewellA
To life we two might but be one at lastB
But we look back on a divided pastB
And a divided future must foretellA
Apart we sowed the seed that flowers in hellA
The seed that blooms in heaven apart we castB
See what remembrances my heart holds fastB
Ask your own heart what deeds you deem done wellA
-
-
The memory I find my heaven inC
Is that one hand touch you regret as sinC
Your goodness dear that stood between us twoD
And made my hell may make a heaven for youD
So evermore must lie our souls betweenE
The kiss unkissed the infinite might have beenC
