Indiscretion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD DDEE FFGG

RED tulip buds last night caressedA
The sacred ivory of her breastA
She met me eager to divineB
What gold heart bud of hope was mineB
-
-
Nor eyes nor lips were strong to partC
The close curled petals round my heartC
The joy I knew no monarch knowsD
Yet not a petal would uncloseD
-
-
But ah the tulip buds unwiseD
Warmed with the sunshine of her eyesD
And by her soft breath glorifiedE
Went mad with love and opened wideE
-
-
She saw their hearts all golden gayF
Laughed frowned and flung the flowers awayF
Poor flowers in Heaven as you wereG
Why did you show your hearts to herG
