February Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCD EFEFGH IJKJCC

THE trees stand brown against the grayA
The shivering gray of field and skyB
The mists wrapt round the dying dayA
The shroud poor days wear as they dieB
Poor day die soon who lived in vainC
Who could not bring my Love againD
-
-
Down in the garden breezes coldE
Dead rustling stalks blow chill betweenF
Only above the sodden mouldE
The wallflower wears his heartless greenF
As though still reigned the rose crowned yearG
And summer and my Love were hereH
-
-
The mists creep close about the houseI
The empty house all still and chillJ
The desolate and trembling boughsK
Scratch at the dripping window sillJ
Poor day lies drowned in floods of rainC
And ghosts knock at the window paneC
