Faith Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IGJG KLKM

THROUGH the long night the deathlong nightA
Along the dark and haunted wayB
I knew your hidden face was brightA
More bright than any dayB
-
-
And when the faint insistent moanC
Rose from some weed grown wayside graveD
I said 'I do not walk aloneC
'Tis easy to be braveD
-
-
I never turned to speak with youE
For all the way was dark and longF
But all the shadows' menace throughE
Your silence was my songF
-
-
I never sought to take your handG
For all the way was long and roughH
I taught my soul to understandG
That love was strength enoughH
-
-
Then suddenly the ghosts drew nearI
A ghastly gliding tomb white bandG
I called aloud for you to hearJ
My hand besought your handG
-
-
No voice no touch the thin ghosts glideK
Where in my dream I dreamed you wereL
Night night you are not by my sideK
You never have been thereM
