William Goode Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDECFGHIJKLTo all in the village I seemed no doubt | A |
To go this way and that way aimlessly | B |
But here by the river you can see at twilight | C |
The soft winged bats fly zig zag here and there | D |
They must fly so to catch their food | E |
And if you have ever lost your way at night | C |
In the deep wood near Miller's Ford | F |
And dodged this way and now that | G |
Wherever the light of the Milky Way shone through | H |
Trying to find the path | I |
You should understand I sought the way | J |
With earnest zeal and all my wanderings | K |
Were wanderings in the quest | L |
