The Cry Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABB CCC DDD EEE FFF

There's a voice in my heart that cries and cries for tearsA
It is not a voice but a pain of many fearsB
It is not a pain but the rune of far off spheresB
-
It may be a d mon of pent and high empriseC
That looks on my soul till my soul hides and criesC
Loath to rebuke my soul and bid it ariseC
-
It may be myself as I was in another lifeD
Fashioned to lead where strife gives way to strifeD
Pinioned here in failure by knife thrown after knifeD
-
The child turns o'er in the womb and perhaps the soulE
Nurtures a dream too strong for the soul's controlE
When the dream hath eyes and senses its destined goalE
-
Deep in darkness the bulb under mould and clodF
Feels the sun in the sky and pushes above the sodF
Perhaps this cry in my heart is nothing but GodF
